Reseda Park Improvements

Reseda Park Improvements:

Since becoming a Councilmember in 2013, Blumenfield has worked closely with the Department of Recreation and Parks to improve the facilities and programming at Reseda Park. He succeeded in having Reseda Park designated as a “Class” park, which brought additional staffing and resources to the community. In FY 2018-19, the City allocated $582,000 in Proposition A Park funds to address immediate needs for infrastructure repair. Blumenfield is working with the MRCA on plans to add native landscaping on the north bank of the Los Angeles River between Reseda Boulevard and Etiwanda Avenue and better incorporate the River into the Park, while maintaining unstructured recreational space. He also continues to work with OneGeneration to meet the needs of Reseda’s senior population.
