Reopening LA

Re-Opening LA

The City of Los Angeles continues its progress in reopening our economy, but Covid-19 cases are still increasing. Please don’t let these new openings lull you into carelessness and please wear a mask in public, observe social distancing and wash your hands often and fastidiously. If we are careful, we can enjoy the lifted restrictions and still keep ourselves and all Angelenos safe and healthy.

LA County Public Health announced a new slate of businesses and recreational venues that can re-open as of Friday, June 12.

Some new businesses and services that can reopen include:

  • Gyms and fitness facilities
  • Pro sports facilities without spectators
  • Day camps
  • Zoos, aquariums, museums
  • Campgrounds and on-site residential pools
  • Music/TV/Film production
  • Hotels for leisure travel

Below are businesses that are still NOT permitted to open in LA County and LA City:

  • Nail salons
  • Tattoo shops
  • Bars and wineries
  • Movie theaters
  • Live performance theaters, entertainment centers, concert halls, venues and festivals
  • Stadiums and arenas
  • Gaming facilities
  • Theme parks

If you think you may have been exposed or are feeling any symptoms that could indicate Covid-19, please isolate yourself and get tested immediately. Testing is free and widely available. Click here to schedule a “drive through” test.
