Nonprofit Emergency Grant Program

I am re-directing $100,000 from my office’s discretionary funds to support local nonprofits helping those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. I have created a grant program that will not only allow me to directly provide funding to critical non-profits but will enable me to solicit additional public and private funding for them.
There are so many folks in the West Valley struggling right now, and our local nonprofits are stepping up in amazing ways to address food insecurity, senior programming, and housing aid. Unfortunately during this pandemic, the needs are spiking at the very same time when traditional funding sources and volunteers are more limited.
I’ve already selected four nonprofits to receive $10,000 grants:
West Valley Food Pantry, Guadalupe Community Center, West Valley Family YMCA, and ONEgeneration.
If you know a nonprofit helping West Valley families affected by the pandemic, please share this message with them.
I will be sharing these grant applications with local Neighborhood Councils, public donors, and private donors in the hopes that more funds can be raised.
