David Giron serves as the Environment, Climate, and Energy policy advisor for Councilmember Bob Blumenfield. David is a lifelong Angeleno, having received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Constitutional Law from California State University, Los Angeles (CSUN). David then worked for Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell for almost 10 years, starting as Legislative Director and then Senior Advisor. David’s policy work led him to run the Energy and Environment Committee on behalf of the Councilmember, which resulted in the landmark LA100 plan, a nation leading effort that will see the City of Los Angeles achieve 100% carbon free energy by 2035.
