Support Local Arts and Culture: Apply Now to be a Panelist for the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs's Cultural Grant Program
Each Fall Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) grants staff convenes discipline-specific teams to review, compare, and score proposals for an array of arts and cultural activities that will benefit Los Angeles residents and tourists. DCA is currently seeking artists, arts administrators, educators, historians, cultural professionals, and art enthusiasts to serve as panelists for this process.

Interested potential panelists should have at least three years of educational or employment experience in the arts discipline or practice for which they wish to contribute. Grant categories include: Arts Education (in school K-12 learning), Arts Advocacy, Dance, CultureIHistory, International Engagement, Literary Arts, Master Artist Fellowships, Media Arts, Mixed Genres, Music, Outdoor Festivals, Traditional Folk Arts, Theater, and Visual Design Arts.

1. A subject line stating "Your name";
2. Your resume; and,
3. Your Council office: "Council District 3"
In response, the DCA grants staff will send the potential panelist a questionnaire that will help determine the depth and nature of each person's expertise. It should be noted that not all interested individuals can be selected to participate as panelists. DCA offers an honorarium of $100-$500 per panelist based on amount of review time required for each set of applications. Panelists should expect to commit approximately 30 hours of time to the task, including time to read and score applications on their own time and at least one full business day for group dialogue and final ranking of projects
